Antique satin wood wardrobe, small double or large single, made around 1910 probably. Two doors with mirrors, drawer below, cornice above. The cornice is a custom made replacement, done in pine but it's a good colour match and looks the part. There's a hanging rail inside but please note: there's not enough depth for a standard hanger. Use smaller ones or slant them. Another option is to change the rail for two front-back ones. These smaller wardrobes were really intended for hanging coats on hooks, and the old hooks are still in there. No key but the door catch works. Original brass handles on the doors and drawers: I'm not usually one to tell people what's "beautiful" or "stunning" or whatever, but come on, these are both of those things.. The drawer base is a separate unit so that makes getting it upstairs rather easier. Condition is pretty good structurally: it's solid and sound. Cosmetically there are lots of little dings, scuffs and marks though nothing too bad; a scratch or two and some slightly patchy areas (see pics). One longish squiggle of missing silver on one mirror (pictured). The cornice is a bit roughly finished in places. Dimensions: 116cm x 46cm x 190cm high (inside depth 39cm; height of biggest section 143cm)
